The northern latitudes are host to beautiful pinks created by cooler temperatures and unique lighting angles. Ansel Adams shot a famous image a few hundred yards from here. This image came about after chasing a big bull moose for the better part of the day. He finally bedded down, allowing me to scout other locations before sunset.
The lake calmed as the winds subsided and the mirror in motion began. It was a beautiful evening and all it needed was film to preserve it forever. With Denali as the backdrop, it would have been impossible to blow this composition. The highest mountain in North America and warm colors reflecting the Wonder Lake: a fitting summation.
